Irresistible Bergamot gains unexpected depth when mixed with mysterious Patchouli and an exotic blend of Sandalwood, Vanilla and Honey spiked with Paprika and Saffron. Black Pepper, at once warm and cool — like a fire dance in the night, completes the seduction.
The first scent that I created was inspired by a trip to Majorca. As our plane flew over the Mediterranean, the blue sea beckoned invitingly below. Once landed, we rented a Jeep, lowered the soft top and took off into the hills. Nestled among ancient Mediterranean gardens, our hotel turned out to be a 13th century palace restored to its original splendor. Walking down the corridors of this Spanish castle, I breathed in the natural cool scent of marble mixed with that of rosemary topiaries and sandalwood.
Escorting us to our quarters, the hotel manager unlocked very tall mahogany double doors to reveal a most magical room. French doors opened out onto a balcony. I can remember so much of that moment. The view overlooking the gardens, down the mountain to the luminous sea, was breathtaking. Almost immediately, the fragrance of the garden began to fill the room. The next day was sunny and warm. We spent the afternoon diving into the fresh cool waters of the villa pool, set on the edge of a cliff.
That evening, we decided to enjoy a cultural performance featuring dancers, drummers and fire. Little did I know that I would become a part of the act! As the show began, the most gorgeous, bronzed Spaniard came over to our table and pulled me onto the stage. There was a slight breeze blowing and the smoke from the fire gently filled the sky. As the drums began to beat, so did my heart. Placed in the center of nine drummers and fire throwers, I watched as the Spaniard came closer and closer, tossing fire and beating a drum. My legs began to shake as the moment became heated. The audience went wild!
